Here’s a recipe to make a Banana Pudding Poke Cake:
Ingredients:
1 box yellow cake mix (plus ingredients mentioned on the package, such as eggs, oil, and water)
1 package instant banana pudding mix
2 cups cold milk
1 cup whipped topping (such as Cool Whip)
20-25 vanilla wafers, crushed
Sliced bananas (optional)
Additional whipped topping and crushed vanilla wafers for garnish (optional)
Instructions:
Preheat your oven according to the instructions on the cake mix package. Grease and flour a 9×13-inch baking dish.
Prepare the cake batter according to the instructions on the cake mix package. Pour the batter into the prepared baking dish and bake it as directed. Allow the cake to cool for a few minutes.
While the cake is still warm, use the handle of a wooden spoon or a straw to poke holes all over the cake. Make sure to create holes that go all the way to the bottom of the cake.
In a medium-sized bowl, whisk together the instant banana pudding mix and cold milk until the pudding thickens. Pour the pudding mixture over the warm cake, making sure to fill the holes.
Place the cake in the refrigerator and allow it to chill for about 2 hours, or until the pudding has set.
Once the cake has chilled, spread the whipped topping evenly over the top of the cake.
Sprinkle the crushed vanilla wafers over the whipped topping, pressing them gently into the surface. If desired, you can also add sliced bananas on top of the crushed wafers.
For additional garnish, you can drizzle some additional whipped topping over the cake and sprinkle more crushed vanilla wafers on top.
Serve the Banana Pudding Poke Cake chilled, and enjoy!
This Banana Pudding Poke Cake is sure to be a hit among family and friends. It’s a sweet and creamy dessert that captures the flavors of banana pudding in a delightful cake form. Enjoy!
