Banana Pudding Poke Cake

1 package instant banana pudding mix
2 cups cold milk
1 cup whipped topping (such as Cool Whip)
20-25 vanilla wafers, crushed

Preheat your oven according to the instructions on the cake mix package. Grease and flour a 9×13-inch baking dish.

Prepare the cake batter according to the instructions on the cake mix package. Pour the batter into the prepared baking dish and bake it as directed. Allow the cake to cool for a few minutes.

While the cake is still warm, use the handle of a wooden spoon or a straw to poke holes all over the cake. Make sure to create holes that go all the way to the bottom of the cake.
